Heber Play-Date

So last week I went up to Heber to visit with one of my oldest friends, (we have been friends since elementary school days) Mckell. It was so fun to see her again and let the little kids play. Her daughter Hadley is SO cute! At first things were a little, whats the word? HOSTILE. Haha. Hadley is a little rumbler, but so is Zayne. They started out mostly fighting over toys...

Here is CUTE little Hadley, I think she looks just like her Mom.
Here they are sitting on the couch while we TRIED getting them to look at us so we could take a picture of them... this is a good as it got.

McKell had set up a swim pool in her backyard for them to play in... they didn't really play in it though, mostly stood outside of it and played.

Then Zayne decided to try a trampoline for his first time EVER! He loved it, I have video of it but can't get it to upload for some reason. Grrr. I love this picture of him and Hadley though, so cute.

Then after all the fun of playing on the tramp and sliding down the water slide we took them to feed the ducks. This is them in the car before we headed off...
Zayne was SO excited to feed the ducks, squealed the whole time when the ducks would come up for the bread. It was so fun to watch the 2 little ones. One duck came up onto the grass to get some bread from Hadley, it was so fun for them.

And after a fun day with McKell and Hadley it was time to head home, and good thing we left when we did cause Zayne was tuckerd out.

THANKS FOR THE FUN DAY MCKELL AND HADLEY!

BaCk YaRd CaMp-OuT

Last night I did the 1st Annual Backyard Camp-out... it went..... pretty good. Here is me, super excited about the camp-out, and Zayne really into is coloring...

Me and Zayne put up the tent (ya I don't need a man to put up the tent for me, I got this single mommy thing down!) It was pretty easy and Zayne LOVED it! He thought it needed to be shot with the bubble gun a few times to break it in, lol, I LOVE him!

Here he is checking out the inside of the tent for the first time...

Then it was bubbles & S'mores time! He was more into the bubbles than the S'mores, oh well, pretty sure next year it will be the opposite.

Then he wanted to slide the night away! He slid down the slide a good 100 times, no joke. He got pretty daring and went down backwards, sideways, and even tried going down naked (he didn't like that way all to much.. friction can be a bitch, lol)

Once it started getting really dark he walked the grounds, he was loving the whole playing outside all night... until it got dark.....Sadly enough about the time we were gonna go to sleep I realized Zayne isn't to fond of the outside once it is dark (he must take after his mommy, I am scared of the dark outside, I think I may have watched to many UNSOLVED MYSTERIES as a kid and to many CSi's as an adult). Then it started to lightning, thunder, and rain.... so we had to move indoors.

Maybe next year we can pull off a whole night outside. All in all it was fun and I plan on doing it a lot more with my PRIDE AND JOY! Being a mommy is the BEST thing in the world. You get to do all the things you loved as a kid with you own child and see their face with all the smiles and laughs.

Brushin' his teeth so they *SHINE*

Zayne LOVES brushing his teeth SO much! If you go into the bathroom or even just into the laundry room you know he is RIGHT behind you and before you can get the door shut he is already pulling his stool up to the sink. It is a cute thing, but can get annoying, Haha. Here are some pictures I took yesterday of him. ENJOY!

Croup

So my baby boy got his 1st real time being sick last week... broke my heart! He had been kinda feeling sick the day before, but figured it was him teething, so when he woke up at 6:30 a.m. miserable and unable to breath unless he was held upright I knew he was sick, I gave him some medicine and he feel back asleep. Well when he woke back up at 11 wheezing and coughing that sounded like a dog bark I knew he was sick. The doctor told me to bring him in, so I did. I started crying while waiting in the room for the doctor, cause he was just wheezing and his oxygen level was low, all I could think about was how I knew how he felt, growing up with asthma I remember the feeling of not getting enough air to function, broke my heart. I just held him while he laid there thinking about how I wish I could take this from him. The doctor came in and said it was croup and gave Zayne a shot of a steroid to help the swelling in his throat go down so he could breath. By that night he was the energizer bunny! He had slept all day so of course at night when he started feeling better he was wanting to play. Let's just say the next morning he was better. Zayne is such a healthy baby. He never gets sick and when he does it only last a day or two, I am so lucky!

1st Happy Meal

So our day at the park got rained out the other day, so to make the day somewhat special I got Zayne his 1st Happy Meal from McDonalds! Growing up I remember loving Happy Meals and going to McDonalds, so this was a special day. Plus Zayne is in LOVE with Shrek right now so the fact that the box and toy were Shrek made it that much better...

So we came home and had an indoor picnic eating his Shrek Happy Meal and watching Shrek... It was a GREAT day!

(Ya, Courtney had to throw herself in this picture haha, typical middle child syndrome!)

Finally a nice WARM day!!

Today was so NICE and WARM! I loved it. I put sunscreen on Zayne and we went out to play. Zayne did his outside chore 1st, which is watering the flowers, he LOVES that chore. Haha. Then it was play time, trying to CLIMB trees, sliding down the slide and playing in the dirt. Can't wait for more Warm days outside with my boy!

Scary Morning...

So today while I was showering and Zayne was playing in his jumper I heard him gagging, so I looked out and saw him with a mouth full of Gel. So I jumped out of the shower and scooped the gel out of his mouth and rinsed out his mouth, mind you I was naked with shampoo still in my hair, haha. I was freaking out so I looked at the package and it said to contact poison control immediately, of course, why wouldn't it?! So I ran downstairs and called and the man said to take him to the E.R. cause the Lidocain can cause seizures if ingested. Lovely. So called my mom and we took him in. The most embarrassing part, it was Bikini Zone Gel, haha. Well they hooked him up to the monitor to make sure he was having heart problems from it, he was fine. So we headed home.

I guess it is time to really kick it into gear and child proof the whole house. Better safe than sorry. I feel horrible about the whole thing, but I gotta remember, it was bound to happen, all kids get into things they aren't suppose to, thank God it wasn't something more serious, I am just thankful my little boy is safe.
