:: First Day / Last Day ::

This is a picture of Zayne on his 1st day of preschool this year (left), and a picture of him on his last day of school (right). The more you look at it you can see how much he GREW (he was just barely as tall as the door knob in the left picture, and is a few good inches above it in the right picture), and how much different his face looks, still looks the same, but definitely looks OLDER! So crazy how much he changed in a short little SCHOOL year, not even a full year! Man time is going WAY to fast! I always ask Zayne where is my baby Zayne?! I can't believe how big he is now, and it seems like only yesterday that I was watching him learn to roll over...

:: Mommy's Day ::

 Mothers Day was really nice this year. Zayne was actually old enough to get it, and told me he loved me and Happy Mothers Day a few times throughout the day... While we were sitting outside I snapped a few pics... enjoy...

 Ya I am a goof, and like to ruin pics... what?!

 (Re-created picture) Zayne came up and handed me a flower he picked and told me Happy Mothers Day, my heart melted, and so of course I made him re-create the moment! (Mainly because in re-creating it for a pic it made him say it one more time!)

:: Just some random pics ::

 Zayne has a SLIGHT obsession with our neighbors dog, Ragnar. So often you can find him begging to go play at Ragnar's house, luckly Ragnar's owner is amazing, and enjoys having Zayne come play for a little bit. On day when he was over there, I looked out and saw him on their dirt bike in their back yard, Zayne with the biggest smile (Zayne loves motorcycles), so I ran over to snap a pic!

 So occasionally I find my camera in Zaynes possession, and often I find GEMS like this... He looks so funny in this picture!

:: Zaynes 1st Fish ::

On Saturday May 12th I told my dad I was in the mood to go fishing, so up fishing we went. My friend Suzette had told me about how her husband had taken their daughter fishing up at Vivian Park in Provo Canyon and she had caught a fish, so that is where we headed. On the way up Zayne fell asleep, but it worked out great since it gave him a small power nap. After sitting up there for about 20 min or so there was a bite! Zayne ran over and reeled it in like a pro! He was so excited and happy, it was awesome to watch.

Can't say it was the biggest fish, or the prettiest, but it was his first catch. Unfortunately when my dad removed the hook and put it back in the water it didn't survive to swim off, it wasn't the strongest fish. But it did allow for a close up shot of it. 

It was a really fun day, and it was definitely memorable. Can't wait until we go fishing again!

Easter 2012

Easter this year was really fun. Zayne is older and way more into it and gets so excited for the Easter Bunny to come. We colored Easter eggs on Thursday night, it was really fun and Zayne was able to actually help put the eggs in the dye an get them out. 

 

 On Saturday I had class so my parent to Zayne to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt my friends Sam and Karrie put on every year. It is really fun and all the kids take home a great loot. I was really sad I missed being able to watch him run around and find the eggs.

 Easter morning was REALLY nice. The Easter Bunny brouht us all fishing polls this year so we can do some fishing. Zayne was super stoked about his fishing poll (even though it broke that day and we had to go exchange it for a new one... Thank goodness the Bunny left us with a receipt!)

Z did AWESOME at the Easter Egg hunt and found even ones that were really hard to find... Easter bunny hid the camo eggs REALLY well! It was a blast watching Zayne run around finding the eggs and shaking each and EVERY one to make sure there was SOMETHING inside. Some of the eggs were stuffed full they wouldn't make a noise so he had to open it to make sure he wasn't getting ripped off! It was great!

 The Easter Bunny did an awesome job of giving Zayne a small amount of candy and giving him money instead to save up for his Disneyland trip next year. Zayne LOVES money, he loves playing with it and putting it in his piggy bank to save up and take to the bank. GOOD JOB BUNNY!

Slice of Life

So a few weeks back I had a slight run in with a slicer and sliced the tips off 2 of my fingers...SUCKED! I had just gotten home from school and was trying to make some dinner before Survivor started and was using a new slicer we had gotten at Walmart the weekend before... It was working really well then all the sudden I was finger-tip-less! I tried to take a few pics but couldn't get a GRATE GREAT pic but here are some....

My fingers are all healed now, just still getting back some feeling in my pinky finger.. Hope I NEVER do this again!
