:~:TALKity TALK:~:

Well the time has come, after wondering if Zayne was ever going to actually talk.....answer is yes...and boy oh boy is he!

He is like a parrot most times, which can be a good thing or a bad thing! I have come to the realization that it is now time for me to enforce the "Swear Jar" cause with Zayne saying everything he hears he tends to repeat words he shouldn't LOL..

His newest thing he has started saying, and I have NO IDEA where he got it from is: ROCK-N-ROLL! Outta nowhere he started saying it, it is so funny. We were watching Country Strong the other day and he grabbed the guitar used for Guitar Hero and started acting like he was playing it, learned that from watching mommy =) It is funny the things he is starting to do, it shows just how much he watches EVERYTHING we all do!

Most of the time I have NO IDEA what he is saying, but he is saying something...and he is saying something ALL THE TIME! I am slowly but surely figuring out what he is saying, and being amazed each day at the things he says. I know he is loving be able to say words to get what he wants without having to wait for anyone to have a lucky guess at what he is wanting.

I got a video camera from my Grandparents and it is in need of a new battery but I plugged it in the other day and was able to record Zayne for a bit (I got it out to record him singing the ABC's, but of course once I got it all set up he was off singing) and he LOVED being able to watch himself on the big t.v. So I definitely need to order a new battery and tapes (yes it is an video camera from the 90's) to record onto. I am so excited to be able to catch footage of Zayne that I will be able to watch when he is older and refuses to hangout with me =) Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting me have/use it!

Zayne is growing up so fast and I feel like if I blink I am going to miss something... I am glad I am able to take the summer off of school and work (although I may be still working this summer, but just watching the boy I have been watching--so it isn't really working, it is just fun) to be able to spend time with Zayne, do swimming lessons and just watch him learn and grow.

I will try to keep up on my blog more and will start keeping track of new/funny things Zayne says and does. =)

::Saturday Yard Work::

Zayne got a lawn mower from the Easter Bunny this year and has loved it. His new favorite thing to do is help mow the lawn. It is so funny to watch him follow his Grandpa "helping" mow the lawn.

:: LOVE this pic of him, so happy::

Pics...

A cute..er I mean handsome pic of Z...

A pic of me and Z when we were in Mesquite a few weeks ago...

~VEGAS~

Mothers Day weekend I went to Las Vegas with my friend Stephanie. It was such a nice break from the kiddos, Steph is pregnant with her 6th kid! Ya you read that right SIXTH! So she definitely needed this vacation.

First night we got there we went and saw THE THUNDER DOWN UNDER...oh my it was SO FUNNY! There was crazy drunk ladies and a bunch of bachelorette parties there so it was a crazy time, loved it!

The 2nd day we walked the strip from the Excalibur to Caesars Palace... by the time we got to C.P. We were sooo tired... we ate at the Cheesecake Factory and then started the long 1.2 mile BACK! Needless to say by the time we got back to the hotel room we were beyond aching...so We went and sat at the pool for a while. We then wobbled back to the room to relax before the Tournament of Kings show that night.

After the show we gambled a little and did pretty good. I put a 5 in the Wizard of Oz machine and won 87 on one spin... it was great since when we were on the strip Steph was giving me crap about the night before when I lost 20 bucks on it. "Look Brit, that lady won 3 million on The Wizard of Oz...the most YOU won was 2 dollars"--Stephanie

It was sad to leave the girls weekend and fun times and warm weather but we were both anxious to get home to our kiddos for mothers day.

Here are some pics of the trip...Had to take this pic cause before we even left Orem Steph was driving and did a crazy u-turn at prob 40 mph I swear! And we laughed about how she was crazy.... then on the way I looked up and laughed when I saw this warning sticker.. It was great

Pics of us in front of a fountain at the Ballagio..

We learned the first night that both of us do not do good when we have pics together, but these 2 turned out pretty good. It was such a fun time and can't wait to HOPEFULLY go on another girls weekend together sometime!
